My camper is a scout, can they work towards OAS badges?
Yes! Our summer camp program activities aim to help youth learn skills and gain experiences that support the Outdoor Adventure Skills. At the end of the week, campers will go home with a sheet that tracks all the new skills and experiences they gained at camp.
Do I have to register my youth for a full week of camp?
Yes, youth are registered weekly.
Can my youth request to be with their friend?
Yes. During registration, please provide the full names of any other campers that you would like to have in the same group as your child(ren).
Can I have someone else pick up my youth?
Yes… Just make sure you inform one of the staff members, the camper’s counsellors, and the camper themselves.
Can my teen volunteer at camp?
Anyone interested in volunteering can email the summer camp team directly to discuss if there is availability for volunteers at summercamp@scouts.ca.
Some of our day camp programs offer early drop-off and/or late pick-up for an additional fee. This option to select early drop-off and/or late pick-up (if available) is part of the registration process.
Does camp operate if it rains or there is extreme weather?
While some camp activities are weather-dependent, our summer camp programs run rain or shine! In the event of a rainy day, scheduled activities will be changed to meet the weather needs.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, camp staff will always ensure safety is the primary concern. Each camp has a safety plan in case of an emergency and communication will go to parents as soon as possible.
How do I cancel a registration?
Details on the cancellation policy can be found under the cancellation tab and on Double Knot (the camp booking system) when registering for camp. To cancel a registration, please email the camp directly or summercamp@scouts.ca
